Fall/Winter 2011 Trends

Vibrant is the word I'd use to describe the trends Fall/Winter 2011. For those who are holding tight to their "all black everything" ensembles have no fear, there's plenty of that to go around. But if you're looking for something that's going to make a statement let me enlighten you.

The Color Red - This fall favorite is already making a major statement in 2011. The theme will run even stronger in 2012. Don't be afraid to wear red from head-to-toe. Just be sure the occasion is right.

 Elie Saab Fall 2011

J. Crew Fall 2011

Fur - Let's not kid ourselves, fur is never really out of fashion. As long as women continue to enjoy purchasing luxury goods fur will remain a coveted item. Look for not only fur coats in interesting silhouttes and colors but fur embellishement on shoes and other accessories.

Giambattista Valli

Alexis Mabille

Brown Tones - Caramel, chocolate, amber, rust, saffron yellow, and honey will shine through this autumn adding warmth and a lovely bright touch.

Akris

Jean Charles de Castelbajac

Power Dressing - Structure, clean lines, and sharp tailoring will aid in creating winning looks that exude confidence and strength.

 Louis Vuitton

Michael Kors

Color Blocking - This trend was huge for spring and summer 2011 and it's not going anywhere for fall. Statement dressing of this kind is not for the faint-of-heart. It takes some confidence to wear purple pants.

Balenciaga

3.1 Phillip Lim

These trends will be even stronger for Fall/Winter 2012 so invest wisely, you'll be enjoying your purchases for many seasons to come.
